Soup

Lipton Onion Soup Mix:

1/3 cup beef bouillion powder

2 tbs onion powder

1/3 tsp paprika

1/4 tsp celery salt

3/4 cup dried onions

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/2 tsp parsley flakes

1/2 tsp sugar

Mix all together pour into a mason jar it will keep for months .

Hamburger soup:

1 diced onion or 1 pkg of onion soup mix

8 cups water

8 tbsp barley

4 diced carrots diced

bay leaf

1 can tomato paste

1 can tomato soup

1 pound ground beef cooked and browned

1 tsp thyme

3 celery sticks diced

salt and pepper to taste

1 12 oz can of diced tomatoes or fresh diced ones

Add all ingredients to a large pot let simmer for 2 to 3 hours.

Easy Potato Soup:

salt and pepper to taste

4 cups diced cooked potatoes

4 to 5 cups chicken broth

cooked diced bacon

5 cups of grated cheese  ( any kind you like )

Add all ingredients to a stock pot on low heat for about 1 hour .

Broccoli cheese soup:

1/4 cup oil

  
2 cups broccoli diced

2 cups milk

 
1 tbsp flour                              

1 can cream of cream of mushroom soup

2 cups cheese grated ( any kind

Add all ingredients into a soup pot and let simmer for 1 hour .

French Onion soup :

5 large onions sliced

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

3 tbsp butter

salt and pepper to taste

2 boxes of beef broth about 10 cups or 3 bouillon cubes

2 cups croûtons

1 cup mozzarella cheese

1 cup cheddar cheese

2 tbsp   Parmesan cheese

In a sauce pan cook onions in butter until caramelized .

In a large pot add cooked onions , beef broth , Worcestershire sauce and salt & pepper.Let boil for about 1 hour .Remove from heat , in  French onion soup bowls  add broth , croûtons , sprinkle with 3 cheeses .Broil for about 5 mins .

Split Pea Soup:

1 ham bone 


1 diced onion  


2 diced carrots                        

1 pkg split peas                   

10 cups water 

   
salt and pepper                

In a soup pot put all the ingredients in and bring to a boil.When it starts to bowl turn heat down to a simmer .Let simmer for about 1 1/2 hours .

Dumplings :

2 1/4 cups flour

1 1/3 cup milk

3 tsp baking powder

2 eggs

mix flour , baking powder,eggs and milk

Drop big teaspoons on top of soup place a cover on top of let it cook for about 10 to 12 mins .

Cream of Broccoli Soup:

2 tablespoons onion powder or 1 diced onion

1 large bunch of broccoli diced

2 potatoes diced

1/2 cup whole milk

salt and pepper to taste

6 cups of chicken broth ( cubes or 1 store bought container)

1 bay leaf

In a pot combine all the ingredients all let simmer for 30 to 45 mins remove bay leaf before serving .

 Chili:

1 lb ground beef cooked and drained

1 tbsp onion powder

1 tbsp garlic powder

salt and pepper to taste

2 tbsp chili powder

1 bay leaf

1 can kidney beans

1 can brown beans

1 large can diced tomatoes

1 can mushrooms

1 can diced tomatoes/ or 4 fresh ones diced

1 can tomato paste

1 can tomato soup

2 cups diced peppers  I use red , orange .yellow or green

In a large pot  add all ingredients and let simmer for 2 hours .

Clam Chowder:

4 diced potatoes

3/4 cup grated carrots

1 diced onion or 2 tbsp onion powder

1 stalk diced celery

3 cups water

3 tbsp flour

salt and pepper to taste

1 can of diced clams or fresh clams

1 1/4 cup whole milk

In a pot bring to a boil carrot , potatoes ,celery and onion cook until potatoes are tender . Stir in flour and milk , when thickens remove from heat and add clams with juice.
